After being listed as suspected of playing on Friday, Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller was confirmed to be absent from this week’s game on Saturday.
Darren Waller injured his back and left knee in the Thanksgiving victory over the Cowboys and missed the second half of the game. This season Darren Waller contributed 53 catches, advanced 643 yards and 2 touchdowns. Darren Waller completed 107 catches last season, setting a record in team history.
Darren Waller previously missed the seventh week of the game due to an ankle injury. Foster Moreau played in his place, contributing six catches, advancing 60 yards and one touchdown.
Las Vegas Raiders acting coach Rich Bisaccia said: “We have experienced this twice. Darren Waller also missed a game before. It was Foster Moreau who stepped up to complement Greg Olson (offensive coordinator)’s game plan. We have experienced this kind of thing twice. I’m also ready this week.”
Foster Moreau is the Las Vegas Raiders 2019 four-round pick, who has completed 10 touchdowns in 40 games in his career.
