On Friday, the Las Vegas Raiders officially announced that they will re-sign defensive end Maxx Crosby.
According to reports, the new contract lasts for four years and adds a total salary of $95 million, including $53 million in guaranteed money.
The 24-year-old Maxx Crosby was the fourth-round pick of the Las Vegas Raiders in 2019. He contributed 10 sacks in his rookie season, and completed 7 and 8 sacks respectively in the next two years.
Maxx Crosby, who made his first Pro Bowl list last season, said: “They want to [get it done] as soon as possible, we all want to be as fast as possible, but it also has to be right. General manager Dave Ziegler and Coach McDaniels showed me their sincerity by not being sloppy. …They not only appreciated my strengths, but also pointed out areas they wished me to improve.”
Maxx Crosby has 141 tackles, 12 broken passes, 4 forced fumbles, and one fumbled. The Las Vegas Raiders are expected to switch from a 4-3 to a 3-4 defense this season, but new defensive coordinator Patrick Graham said he will also make adjustments based on players’ abilities.
