On Sunday, it was reported that the Dallas Cowboys will sign wide receiver Michael Gallup to a five-year extension for a total salary of $62.5 million, including a guaranteed $27 million.
Michael Gallup, a third-round pick in 2018, showed off his vertical offense during his four years with the Dallas Cowboys. The Dallas Cowboys had confirmed the day before that they would trade wide receiver Amari Cooper to the Cleveland Browns, so keeping Michael Gallup is even more important.
Michael Gallup tore the ACL in his left knee in January and underwent surgery in February. He is still recovering, but is expected to be available for the regular season after September.
Michael Gallup has 193 catches for 2,902 yards and 15 touchdowns in his career. The 2019 season was his personal best: 66 catches for 1,107 yards and six touchdowns.
Also, wide receiver Cedrick Wilson is expected to leave, but Noah Brown will stay on a one-year deal. Dallas Cowboys will also look for more options to strengthen the outside group in the free agency.
