On Tuesday morning, the Cleveland Browns officially announced that they will re-sign former All-NBA guard Wyatt Teller to a four-year contract.

According to reports, the total salary of the new contract is $56.8 million, including $28 million in guaranteed money.

Wyatt Teller was traded from the Buffalo Bills to the Cleveland Browns prior to the 2019 season and started at right guard midseason. Wyatt Teller was rated the highest-scoring offensive lineman last season by Pro Football Focus, and his strong play helped the Cleveland Browns rank third in the league in rushing yards.

Cleveland Browns general manager Andrew Berry has spent a lot of time on the offensive line since taking office. Last offseason, Andrew Berry signed All-NBA right tackle Jack Conklin to a three-year, $42 million ($30 million guaranteed) deal. He also selected Jedrick Wills Jr. with the 10th overall pick in the 2020 first round, who quickly won the starting left tackle job.

The Cleveland Browns have the No. 1 pass-screen success rate and ninth-best rush-screen success rate this season.

On Tuesday, Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield will not play next week’s game against Cincinnati Bengals. He will undergo surgery as soon as possible to repair the sprained lip joint of his left shoulder.

Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said the surgery will be performed as soon as this week. Baker Mayfield still has the opportunity to participate in the off-season training program.

Baker Mayfield has been suffering from a shoulder injury since the second week and admitted that he was in poor condition after losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Baker Mayfield was sacked and killed 9 times in the game.

Kevin Stefanski also admitted that his shoulder injury affected Baker Mayfield’s performance, but he does not regret his decision to play with the injury.

Cleveland Browns previously implemented Baker Mayfield’s fifth-year contract option, and his contract will expire after the end of the 2022 season.
